The adventure begins with an exploration of the untouched waterways of Port Davey, a precious harbour on the edge of the world, protected by a marine reserve, national park, and the UNESCO Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area. Guests will be immersed in the wilds, few will ever reach, with daily walks led by expert local guides and tender excursions to ancient rivers and remote bays teeming with bird and marine life. This experience taps into the growing interest in Tasmania’s wild west, recently made famous by TV series such as “Alone Australia,” “The Bridge,” and “Bay of Fires.”
After a scenic seaplane flight across the state, guests will arrive at Freycinet National Park in the east, where they can relax and enjoy pure luxury at Saffire Freycinet. Daily tasting menus will showcase abundant local produce, including seafood from the bay and resident honey, as well as premium Tasmanian wines.
