Australia’s own Rewild, renowned for its commitment to environmental sustainability, has introduced its latest innovation: the eco-conscious bagnum. Continuing to minimise its environmental impact while providing consumers with convenient options, Rewild’s bagnum comes as a fresh addition to the market, featuring popular varietals such as Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, and Shiraz.
Crafted by sustainability industry leader Duxton Vineyards with minimal intervention, Rewild’s bagnums cater to eco-conscious wine lovers, offering a vibrant range that’s 100% vegan-friendly. Each bagnum holds 1.5 litres, equivalent to two standard 750ml glass bottles, making them ideal for shared occasions like picnics and BBQs.
The decision to launch the bagnum aligns with consumer preferences, with 78% of Australians considering a brand’s social and environmental actions before making a purchase. Moreover, amid rising living costs, affordability remains a significant factor for consumers seeking products that resonate with their values.
Tony Allen, Rewild’s Senior Winemaker, emphasized the benefits of the bagnum format, stating, “Eco-conscious wine drinkers now appreciate that a bagnum format offers many benefits. Not only does it hold more wine than a standard bottle, but it also keeps wine fresher for longer—up to 30 days—compared to traditional bottled wine.”
The bagnum’s lightweight design significantly reduces environmental impact compared to standard glass bottles, contributing to Rewild’s mission of minimizing its carbon footprint.
In addition to its innovative packaging, Rewild implements various environmental initiatives, including a commitment to 100% renewable energy, regenerative farming practices, water-saving measures, a biodiversity management plan, and abstaining from using any animal products.
Hailing from the Southern Murray Darling region of southeastern Australia, Rewild wines pay homage to their rich terroir, characterized by generous grape flavours.
