Moama Lights is set to light up the mighty Murray River once again in 2024, with tickets soon available for purchase. At the 2023 event—which was shortened due to flooding—the sound and light trail, created and produced by world-class design studio Mandylights, took visitors on a journey through the natural beauty of Echuca-Moama via state-of-the-art installations, projections, and cutting-edge moving light technology.
The event, in its third year, featured a brand-new experience that celebrated the region’s history and beauty through an evocative sea of colour, movement, and sound. Set against the picturesque backdrop of Moama’s Horseshoe Lagoon, the award-winning event has drawn more than 25,000 visitors in previous years.

Moama Lights 2023 will also featured an outdoor ice-skating rink, the American Hotel beer garden, food trucks, and kids’ entertainment.
Moama Lights will ran over four weekends from Thursday to Sunday, with tickets sold in sessions. Prices start from $10 for children (3-16 years), $20 for adults, and $50 for a family (2 adults and 2 children). Companion cardholders and infants under three years can attend for free, but a ticket is still required. Pricing may change for the 2024 event.
Electricity network provider, Transgrid, threw its support behind Moama Lights for the second year as the major platinum partner in 2023, with sponsors Moama Bowling Club, Rich River Golf Club, The America Hotel, Echuca Moama Accommodation Association, and The Border Inn also backing the event.
“We’re thrilled to be able to bring back Moama Lights for another year and encourage all those keen to come along to purchase their tickets early,” said Murray River Council mayor Chris Bilkey.
