If you’ve been to Bendigo sometime in the past 70 years, there’s a good chance you’ve come across a very odd-looking building there. One that you might mistake for a UFO. Initially built in the 1950s as a service station by the Beaurepaire family, these days the building is home to a bakery.

“Everyone knows the building,” Craig Tweed, Tweed Sutherland First National Bendigo, told Real Commercial.
“It’s very well regarded as it’s a good reminder of the ‘50s and ‘60s.
“But it’s also a fantastic development site, arguably one of the most valuable sites remaining in Bendigo. Though there would be heritage issues with the rotunda.”
The building is on the Victorian heritage register and features a large round main building that resembles a wheel underneath. There is also a warehouse on-site.
The property is expected to fetch $5M.
