CherryHill Orchards Welcomes Back the Beloved Blossom Festival

Spring in the Yarra Valley just got a little sweeter as CherryHill Orchards announced the return of its iconic Blossom Festival, running from 14 September to 6 October 2024. This year, the festival has found a new home in CherryHill’s expansive 100-acre Coldstream orchard, offering visitors an unforgettable experience amidst the breathtaking cherry blossoms.

A Blooming Good Time

The Blossom Festival is more than just a floral display—it’s an immersive celebration of spring, complete with live music, hands-on workshops, and an array of cherry-themed food and drinks. Guests are invited to stroll through the blossoming cherry trees, soaking in the natural beauty while enjoying the many on-site activities.

For a touch of luxury, the highly anticipated “High Tea in the Blossoms” by Mary Eats Cake returns on 14-15 September. This elegant experience includes a fully catered high tea set among a private row of cherry blossoms, offering a perfect blend of sophistication and nature’s charm.

Workshops and Fun for All Ages

New to the festival this year is an exciting lineup of workshops catering to various interests. From candle making and cake decorating to Japanese flower arranging and jewellery making, there’s something for everyone. Notably, buttercream cake artist Zee Scott will lead a cake decorating workshop, showcasing her expertise in vintage piping and bespoke bento cake designs.

Families with children will be pleased to find a dedicated Kids Hub at the festival, ensuring the little ones are entertained with interactive workshops, face painting, colouring competitions, and more.

Evening Magic: Blossom by Light

For the first time, CherryHill Orchards is introducing “Blossom by Light,” an evening event at their Wandin East orchard. From 20-29 September, visitors can witness the orchard transformed into a mesmerising display of illuminated cherry blossoms. Arrive before sunset to enjoy a relaxing picnic, cherry beverages, and a selection of food trucks before the light show begins.

See the Blossoms from Above

For those seeking a truly unique perspective, Global Ballooning is offering hot air balloon rides at sunrise, providing a bird’s-eye view of the picturesque Yarra Valley. After landing, guests can spend a peaceful morning among the blossoms, or opt for a mid-week wine & dine lunch at the renowned Rochford Wines, followed by a visit to the Blossom Festival.
