Australian Jousting Championships? Tell ’em They’re Dreamin’

The Australian Jousting Championships are coming to Kryal Castle in Victoria this month, promising an epic spectacle of medieval mayhem.

This isn’t your average sporting event. Competitors will be decked out in replica medieval armour, following the true rules of the joust as practised in the high Middle Ages. Get ready to witness the thunder of hooves and the splintering of three-meter lances wielded by Australia’s finest jousters.

Leading the charge is none other than the reigning World Champion Jouster, Mr. Phillip Leitch, who also serves as an experience director at Kryal Castle. He’ll be facing off against a formidable field of seven other jousters, including the husband and wife duo of Liberty and Rodney Deaman from New South Wales.

The entire weekend will be a medieval immersion experience, packed with next-level family fun. Expect to see displays of archery and axe throwing, browse through stalls of medieval merchants, and keep the little ones entertained with potion-making, face painting, and a whole lot more.
